About Me
Hello Beautiful Souls
I am Erica SchumakerAs a yoga teacher, wellness coach, and retreat leader, I bring a heartfelt sense of humor to everything I do. My life's work is dedicated to healing, wholeness, spiritual awakening, and personal development. It all began in 2006 when I was introduced to yoga, a practice that has since become my entire world. I am deeply committed to sharing this practice because it has offered me a lifestyle I never thought was possible. It has helped me heal from self-sabotaging behaviors, addiction, and toxic relationships.
Yoga has saved and served me in countless ways.My mission is to help others live their most vibrant and purposeful lives, sharing these embodiment practices, fostering a supportive community, and reaching out to as many people as possible. I can help you see how powerful and resilient you are when you choose love over fear and flow over force.
My Story:
On my journey toward self-compassion and acceptance, I have gathered and curated a reservoir of tools honed through years of overcoming personal battles and resistance. After a decade of self-sabotaging habits and beliefs rooted in trauma, the true essence of yoga came into my life.
At first, yoga was a purely physical practice for me. Consumed by my ideas of perfectionism, every class became a competition with myself and others around me. At that time, I was living in Las Vegas and working in an industry dominated by materialism and the allure of external validation. This lifestyle followed me into some of my darkest times and seeped into every aspect of my life. Despite the chaos, I continued my search for something real—a grounding, nourishing path for my mind, body, and soul.
That’s when my yoga practice started to transform.
I began to uncover the deeper teachings of yoga and embrace the principles for living a yoga-inspired life where mindfulness, health, and happiness are at the forefront of everything that I do. I then realized that yoga had the power to revolutionize my entire existence.
Inspired by this newfound understanding, I decided to break free from my current lifestyle and share the transformative powers that I experienced from yoga with the world.
My true calling emerged. I found my flow in guiding and empowering people on their unique yogic journeys. I became a catalyst for their growth, helping them cultivate confidence, gain clarity, and embark on a life of purpose. It has been a profound privilege to witness the radical transformations that unfolded within each and every one of them.
It has been a profound privilege to witness the shifts and radical transformations that unfolded within each one of them.
Yoga became the bridge connecting the physical, mental, and spiritual realms, offering a holistic approach to well-being that extended far beyond the confines of a mere workout. It became a sacred tool for self-love, embodiment, freedom, abundance, and joy.
Not only have I uncovered my most authentic self, but I also pride myself on being a messenger of light, spreading the wisdom of this ancient practice far and wide. Humbly, I know I still have a lot to learn, and I continue to emerge stronger day in and day out by staying consistent with my practices and being an active member in my recovery community.
This is why it is my deep-seated belief that yoga will provide you with the skills and tools you need to live a healthy, vibrant, and soulful life. I'm excited to create magic on the mat with you!

The Sober Yogini
Recovery and yoga became the pillars of strength in my life.
Yoga has truly transformed me into the woman I am today. It has taught me how to love myself, practice self-compassion and forgiveness, and nurture qualities of mind like equanimity and inner peace. I prioritize practicing daily and staying spiritually fit to support my well-being so I can show up for those around me. I am the person I have always aspired to be.

Off the Mat
I believe that laughter is medicine. I enjoy watching comedy, and I'm a huge fan of stand-up. I also love dancing, listening to podcasts, reading, and spending time with my hilarious friends. Travel has always been a significant part of my life, and I feel most connected and at peace near the ocean.
I am a true introvert-extrovert. I need alone time, which is essential to recharge and reflect. Yet, I thrive on making meaningful friendships and feel most alive when surrounded by my community. Most people would describe me as a silly, energetic, fun, and loving woman with a big heart. I have also been told one of my biggest strengths is the ability to laugh at myself. Life is too short to take it so seriously.
I have a strong faith, and this loving relationship and deep connection to my Higher Power means the world to me. Overall, I laugh a lot and enjoy being around like-minded people. We each have a unique and special purpose on this Earth. In my heart, we all desire the same thing. TO LOVE AND BE LOVED.
